Runners knee is a repetitive strain injury that occurs by prolonged repetitious movements, most common among runners.
You probably suffer from one of the following symptoms:
A sharp pain just below the front of the knee cap
The pain gradually increases the longer you run
Your rehab will mainly consist of stretching the muscles on the outside of the thigh. At the beginning of your rehab, running should be avoided and replaced with an activity that avoids putting weight on the knee. When returning to running, the length and intensity of the run should start slow and increase gradually.
